Welcome to the Gottorf Castle's Museum Complex!

The Museums Island in Schleswig is the largest museum experience between Hamburg and Copenhagen. Although Gottorf Castle is temporarily closed due to renovation and modernisation works, both the Museum of Archaeology and the Museum of Art and Cultural History continue to host fascinating exhibitions in the historic buildings surrounding the castle.
